What is the hair mass index?

The hair mass index, also called the growth index, is how the Uberhair provider network tracks hair growth. It is a quantifiable measure of how much of your scalp is actually covered by hair in a defined area.

The hair mass index. It's how we track whether hair is actually growing. Here's what it is. GroTrack takes a standardized image of a large area of your hair and scalp. Our AI model then identifies the hair strands across that area and quantifies how much of your scalp they cover. We do that on day one. We do it again months later. Same area, same conditions. The difference in hair coverage between those two visits is your hair growth result. It's your treatment result, not an impression of it. Objective measurement is the truth.

It works from standardized images of a large scalp area. Our AI hair analysis model identifies the hair strands across that area and quantifies the coverage on your scalp. Do that on day one, then again months later on the same area under the same conditions, and the difference in hair coverage between those two visits is your hair growth result — your treatment result. Not an impression of it: an objective measurement. Individual results vary.

The honest next step for most hair questions is a measured look at your own scalp. The Uberhair hair check is free, takes about 3 minutes from your phone, and your photos go to the doctor you choose.
